Penticton Concert Band & Penticton Senior Secondary School
Divide Proceeds

Gerald Nadeau, Conductor of the Penticton Concert Band, presents a cheque for over $800 to Music Teacher Justin Glibbery for the Penticton Senior Secondary School of Music Department. The funds are from proceeds received at a combined concert at the Cleland Community Theatre on May 24, 2009.

Each band performed selections from their repertoires to a pleased and enthusiasic audience. The concert concluded with both groups on stage together, performing selections from The Lion King under the baton of Nadeau, and Jesus Christ Superstar conducted by Glibbery.

All on stage benefited from the experience with musicians' ages spanning almost 70 years. The fundraising concerts are important to the bands, as each band has "wish lists" that include obtaining music scores and instruments.
